Just a reminder to come for some socializing and political discussion with fellow progressives starting at 6:30 pm Thursday at the Brewhaus, 617 E Washington. Come any time after 6:30 – we are very informal.
If you're interested, Cecilia Tumulty, candidate for Circuit Clerk, is sponsoring a Barack Obama Nomination Watch Party Thursday 7:30pm at 3520 E Cook St Springfield (Operating Engineers Hall) with free food and drink, bumper stickers and yard signs.
If you want to watch from home we have found that C-SPAN is the best as they just show everything that happens.

Stop in to the Brewhaus between 11 and 3 if you want a break from the crowds. Chris will be there during that time with the laptop and a Drinking Liberally sign on the table. I may duck out around 1:45 to try to get a glimpse of our next president.
We plan on heading over to the Blues & BBQ fest around 3:30 pm.

If Obama has not yet made his choice, we'll share our VP guesses. Also we can talk about meeting up for Obama's event at 1pm at the Old Capitol on Saturday.
