Drinking Liberally Tonight - Special Guest!

Hello, Liberal Drinkers! Come join us this evening, 6pm at the Flying Saucer, for another round of Drinking Liberally!

Tonight we'll be hosting Mike Stewart, another candidate for House District 52! You may remember that it's a funky-shaped district that covers parts of both south (Green Hills) and East Nashville, so for a lot of us, this is meet-your-potential-rep night. To learn more about Mike and his candidacy, check out http://www.electmikestewart.org/. And, of course, come have a chat with the guy!

I'll also be bringing along some voter registration forms, so if you've moved recently or changed your name, or maybe you've never been registered in Tennessee, the clock is ticking down to get registered for the August primary!

See you tonight!

Drinking Liberally Tonight!

Hey there, Liberal Drinkers! Come join us this evening, 6pm at the Flying Saucer, for another round of Drinking Liberally!

In case you missed it, the word is official and we are Nashville's Most Fun Progressive Group. (http://nashvillecitypaper.com/news.php?viewStory=60870) Like we didn't already know it!

In other news, $4/gallon gas has the GOP in a tizzy, with McCain last week saying he's with the environmentalists (and against the Bush Administration) and this week he's in favor of dropping environmental protections and drilling more (so he's with the Bush Administration)! Hrm: a pattern of preaching one thing and doing another, that sounds awfully familiar...

So where do you stand? In favor of more nuclear power, so long as its proponents can actually pronounce the word "nuclear"? Pro-drilling 100 miles off-shore? Against both? Energy policy is the buzzword of the day!

Come see what all the fuss is aboot! See you tonight!
