McCain's anti-Obama ads show that he sneers when Americans cheer someone likable & popular...boy, McCain must hate Michael Phelps.

His international policy is to go-it-alone, & he scoffed when Germans gathered to support an American that came in the spirit of peace....The torch ceremony must've made him nauseous.

Traditionally, During the Olympics, all nations of the world informally agree to an Olympic truce. No country initiates or continues acts of aggression toward other countries. Sort of a 'save for the olympics' thing. Then they can continue slaughtering as they have through the years. Now, I don't know how true or consistant this truce has been in the past. It's at least a good story (the truce part, not the "kill ya later" aspect.)

Obama's running ads about how americans can come together and innovate and come up with solutions to our problems - you don't even find out it's an obama ad until the end. John McCain is not only running negative ads about false hope (really? during the Olympics?), but also calling for escalation and retaliation against the Russians. The RUSSIANS.

What happened to the scary Muslims? They're so last season.

I guess the Olympics really are a time when you can see the true charactor of a person.

Tonight, I raise a glass to Obama taking the high road. I'm also raising a glass to the spirit of friendly competition. I'm also raising a glass to the US Men's Swim team. And a glass to all the men competing in Men's Gynastics. Thank you for, um, doing all that.
