Now that the temperature finally dropped below 70 and I have reason to wear my hoodie every day, I'm finally starting to feel that holiday magic in the air.

I'll be out of town this week reconnecting with the In-Laws and will not be here for Tuesday night. But Drinking Liberally still goes on.

Gary will be watching the fort Tuesday evening. If you're in town, please come on down for a drink and a little chit-chat and possible debate.

Whatever holiday you're celebrating, I hope that it is spiritually filling.

Above my head, out of reach.

I can see its workings through its impenetrable transparent skin.
I can see it,

but have no influence upon it.
Powerless.

I feel impudent and unheard.
I need a beer.

Hey Howdy,

As Inauguration Day falls on Tuesday, it seems appropriate to do something special at our gathering to celebrate the Presidency of Barack Obama.

What to do? What to do?

Beyond showing up at Madeleine's at the regular time and smiling a whole lot, I'm not sure what more I could do. I'm at a loss.

I am taking suggestions on what we can do to celebrate the departure of G.W. and the joyful inauguration of who will then be President Barack Obama.
