Drink to good health

Okay, that's probably not enough for reform of national health care policy. But, just before Drinking Liberally Denver I'll be interviewing Gov. Howard Dean who's now back at Democracy for America. Dean is kicking off a summer tour to push for real reform on health care. If you want to join me, the event is:
Wednesday, May 27th
First Unitarian Church
1400 Lafayette
Denver, CO
5:00 - 7:00 p.m.
RSVP online at: http://www.democracyforamerica.com/drdeandenver
Admission is free

Or, join me at the Skylark for a chat about health care and whatever else is on your mind. In case, you were wondering, yes I asked if we could get Howard Dean to stop by the bar. Sadly he can't make it.

As always Drinking Liberally Denver is:
2nd and 4th Wednesdays
Skylark Lounge
140 S Broadway
7:30pm onward

Cheers,
John

Stop, in the name of...

love?

Sort of. We're doing something a bit different this week instead of a normal Drinking Liberally Denver. The White House Project (which helps gets women to run for office) is holding a fundraiser:

The Stop Light Party

Want to enjoy a night out while supporting The White House Project? Join us for a fun evening at The Skylark Lounge on May 13th! Featuring trivia with Buzzwordz and music from The Pilot Light, proceeds from the event will support The White House Project’s work in Colorado.

When: Wednesday, May 13th, 7-11 PM
Cover: $10

Where: Skylark Lounge, 140 S Broadway Ave., Denver

Why a stop light? Dress your color (or grab the appropriate sticker on the way in):
Red: In a relationship
Yellow: It's complicated
Green: Single
