The votes have been counted from my survey request of last week and the winner is...
...watching the convention at the Northeast Bexar County Democrats headquarters! The location is 7122 San Pedro, Suite 114 -- about 2 blocks south of North Star Mall, in the Town Center Shopping Center. Things will get started at 6:30 pm this Thursday, August 28.

Please bring a bit of pot luck: food, sodas, beer, or wine. More info can be found at http://www.nebcd.org.

As you may realize (I just did), Thursday, August 28 is both the regular fourth Thursday meeting of Drinking Liberally San Antonio AND the night that Obama will give his nominee acceptance speech. With that confluence of events in mind, I'm looking for your input. Here are some options:

- cancel (no meeting)

- find a restaurant/pub that would be amenable to turning on the tube for the festivities

- attend someone's house party

- gather at the Northeast Bexar County Dems HQ at 7122 San Pedro (see website: http://www.nebcd.org/)

Any other ideas? Please let me know...

Just a reminder: the San Antonio contingent of Drinking Liberally will gather at Mad Hatters Tea House & Café
 320 Beauregard (right off of South Alamo), tomorrow night, August 1). We'll get started around 6pm.

 320 Beauregard, this Thursday night (August 14). Starting time is around 6pm or whenever YOU can make it.

We'll try to secure a room in the back for our group. I'll have a small Drink Lib sign.
