Dr. David Adler has graciously agreed to be our guest speaker for our January 24th meeting. From his website:
Professor Adler has specialized in the fields of Public Law, The Supreme Court, Presidency, and American Political Thought. He is a prominent scholar on the subject of the presidential war powers.
The timing couldn't be better. Our Dear Leader has just announced his brand-spanking new and improved plan for setting about approaching the goal of achieving success in the glorious global war on terror, at least as it pertains to Baghdad. And our congress is set to restore the old practice of oversight (I'm sure some of you less-young members recall when congress used to do that).
Dr. Adler will speak for about a half hour, and then will entertain questions and socialize. It should be great.
