We are testing the waters this Saturday - literally!

Several kayakers in our Drinking Liberally family decided to get together for a paddle and try a "Kayaking Liberally" event. The Swamp Girls have graciously invited us to join them for a paddle to the sandbar on Saturday, July 5th, from 4 - 8 p.m. Call Cheryl at 706-9985 to reserve a spot. Cost is $10 with own kayak. Some snacks/drinks will be provided but you can bring your own.

If you don't have a kayak,you can rent one for $45 and join us. Contact Rob at 384-0573 or rob.wells@yahoo.com or rent from the Swamp Girls by calling Sue at 784-2249.

This is your friendly reminder to come to the Blue Coyote on July 1st. Your liberally-minded friends will start gathering there at 5:30 p.m. We had three new people join us last time. Bring a friend so we can keep growing!

It has been an active week with the candidates, as well as with the Supreme Court. We have lots to talk about!

Drinking Liberally meets Tuesday, June 17th, at Blue Coyote in Bluffton starting at 5:30. We are an informal social group of liberals who love to talk politics. But, we'll also talk about anything else too! It all depends on who comes and who you're talking to. Come mix and mingle with your fellow Libbers!

If you are a regular or if this is your first time, we hope to see you! (We meet every first and third Tuesday.)

No doubt that most of our Drinking Libbers are planning to vote in the local primary tomorrow, but it's so important that I wanted to send a reminder.

The Island Packet has finally stepped up (after multiple chidings in letters-to-the-editor) to offer candidate information which you have probably seen over the last week. You can also find polling places and sample ballots on their web site: http://www.islandpacket.com/election/

While our Drinking Liberally Chapter cannot and does not endorse candidates, we can pass along information. One candidate has reached out to us - Blaine Lotz asked me to pass along his web site: www.lotzforcongress.com

Our next meeting is Tuesday, June 17th, at 5:30 p.m. at Blue Coyote. Until then, see you at the polls!
