Michael Steele Strip Club Re-Mix correction

Hello Everyone,
I sent out this video yesterday as a YouTube embed, but the Living Liberally site did not pass it along. Here is the URL to view it with. NOTE: there is no actual nudity, but the scantily clad women and the situations shown may not be work friendly.

Drinking Liberally Tuesday

Hello Everyone,
It's another great weather day in the valley perfect for coming out to join your fellow progressives and liberals at the Gin Mill starting at 6:30 in the Dining Room. The Gin Mill is located on the SE corner of Pecos & Windmill.

So much in the news. The Repuglicans are spinning over recess appointments made over the week-end. The whining about "We just want the opportunity to vote up or down" is starting to sound pretty lame when you allow your membership to put holds on the nominees. Sometimes for months. Crazy Senator Jim Bunning (bat-shit crazy-KY) even put a hold on a nominee because he didn't like a tobacco bill passed by the Canadian Parliament.

Half-baked Alaskan Sister Sarah descended on Searchlight over the week-end. Funny how most of the 8,000 to 9,000 participants are not Nevada voters. The show of course was all about Palin and like her event with John McCain the day before in Arizona, as soon as she stops speaking, the crowd goes away. And speaking of Tea-Baggers, reports and interviews with the movement leaders finds many of them on the government dole. The really amazing part, is they cannot see the dichotomy of shouting about big government while accepting a check from same. Kind of reminds me of the Republicans who voted against the stimulus while handing out over-sized stimulus checks to their constituents back home like they were responsible for this manna from heaven.

Remember the Homeland Security memo out last year talking about home grown terrorists in the militia movements? Where are all the pundits now after this week-ends arrests of nine members of a militia that wanted to kill a cop as bait, and explode IED's at the funeral to take out as many Law Officers as possible? Well I'll tell you. They are all trying to compare this group to the anti-war protesters 40 years ago. No comparison!

So plenty to talk about and share while enjoying good food, good drink, and great conversation.

Well how about that vote on Sunday? With HCR now the law of the land, it will be interesting to see how the Repugs act out their frustrations. Good old John McCain started whining and crying about how the Repugs are going to refuse to work with the Democrats on any other legislation this year. Bring it on. Harry Reid responded to McCain by calling him a child who picked up his ball and went home cause he couldn't get his way.

So come join your fellow progressives and Liberals at the Gin Mill on the SE corner of Pecos & Windmill starting at 6:30 in the Dining Room.

Drinking Liberally Tuesday

Hello Everyone,
It's a great weather day in the valley today, if you overlook the pollen. So come enjoy the evening with your fellow progressives at the Gin Mill on the SE corner of Pecos & Windmill starting at 6:30 in the Dining Room.

Plenty of interesting topics in the news this week. The Republicans are going nuts crying about the Democrats using the same parlimentry tricks they used. Boo-Hoo!

Chris Dodd introduced his bill to protect the public from "To Big To Fail" banks, lenders, and financial companies. The bill is so full of holes that hopefully the Senate will put some real teeth into the bill along with the House. One thing I can't figure out is why Dodd feels he needs to water down the bill for Republicans who won't vote for the bill anyway.

Locally, Senator Johnny "Paycheck" Ensign is now under FBI investigation. Word in DC is nobody wants to be photographed standing next to him. Talk about becoming toxic.

Rep. Shelly Berkley (D-NV) gets this weeks raspberry award for co-sponsoring a bill to get rid of Estate taxes. Perhaps her constituents should remind her she is supposed to work for their benefit not her own.

So come on down and enjoy the company, the conversation, the food, and drink.

Drinking Liberally Tuesday

Hello Everyone,

Well it's a cold blustery day today. We had snow flurries coming down at my office this morning (Jones & Flamingo). But with every cloud there is a silver lining. Rush Limbaugh promised on his show that if Health Care Reform passes, He's moving to Costa Rica! Now isn't that an incentive to call your congress critters and push for passage.

Hey Rush, don't let the door hit your oxy-contin laced ass on the way out.

So come join your fellow progressives as we talk about what's new in our lives and the stories of the week at the Gin Mill on the SE corner of Pecos & Windmill starting at 6:30 in the Dining Room.

Drinking Liberally Tuesday

Another week, and another Drinking Liberally Tuesday. Hello everyone. You are all invited to come to the Gin Mill on the SE corner of Pecos & Windmill starting at 6:30 in the Dining Room. Come join your fellow progressives for good food, good drink, and great conversation.

This week we have Jim Bunning (R-KY) throwing a temper tantrum on the Senate floor and refusing to allow a vote on extending unemployment insurance. Problem is, it's not just the unemployed that are hurt here.
Highway construction projects
Homeland safety issues
Flood insurance
and a whole host of other programs dependent on this bill. The truly sad thing is the number of right-wing pundits who think this is a great thing. Bunning himself actually had the nerve to complain he was being kept from watching a college basketball game. Well I have two words for Senator Bunning "Tough Shit!"

So come on down and join the conversation.
