Lincoln

Happy Holidays to everyone!

Hello,

I hope this finds everyone warm and indoors safe from the extreme cold we are having.

I didn't send out a reminder for the December gathering
because I figured everyone would be involved in holiday things, and also just burned out from all the efforts of
supporting other causes and candidates thruout the earlier part of the year.

This e-mail it let everyone know about the January gathering which will be held on TUESDAY Jan 20th, a day
when George Bush will finally leave Washington and this country can begin to heal itself of the wounds it suffered
under his incompetence.

This will be a larger than normal gathering, as other
Liberal / Progressive Organizations are going to be invited to come as well.

I have no name for the party yet, but would really like suggestions from everyone.

The Party will be at Zen's for a couple of reasons;

one, it is a big enough place, and quiet enough to chat.

Two, Zen's has gratiously given us a 5 percent discount
- for all DL members.

Reasons to show up...

1. Celebrate the last gasp of the Bush Years with some
of Lincolns finest people.

2. Peruse the new Art exhibition hanging on the walls, I guarantee you will find some interesting things there.

3. I promise to NOT serve any holiday leftovers, but will have some free tasty treats there to go with your favorite adult or non alcoholic Beverage.

4. As per our usual Winter DL Lincoln policy, I will be asking for a small free will donation of money for the Lincoln Food bank, since the months AFTER the holidays are the leanest times for that wonderful charity.
SO please come and drop a dollar into the collection tin
and give a small measure back to our community please.

5. Spend Pauls money...!!! For ALL donations given by Lincoln Drinking Liberally members, I will match what ever you give with my own money, doubling the funds to the food bank.

More to follow as things develope, please e-mail me with any suggestions or comments.

Until Then, everyone take care, stay warm, and enjoy the
season.

CHeers!!!

Paul
