We had a great meeting last Wednesday with a varied and active discussion, and a couple of new members (yeah!). As we begin our holiday season this week, I'd like to give thanks for co-hosts Debbie and Donna, who have been the best organizers I could ask for, and for all of you for your active participation, attendance and suggestions. A big shout-out to the Brophys who have supported and cheered our efforts.

As a country, we also have a lot to be thankful for, in spite of the challenges we are facing. We have the right to assemble (as in this case, in pubs across the nation), the freedom to imagine great things and bring them to fruition, and the ability to elect leaders that we hope can reestablish our role as a moral and just leader in the world.

Have a great Thanksgiving with your families, and we'll see you next month at Brophy's.

Just a reminder that we are resuming our twice monthly meetings this week at Brophy's Irish Pub: Wednesday at 7pm. This is our first post-election meeting - in fact, this is Drinking Liberally's first post-election meetings NATIONALLY this month!

In our quest to provide our members with information as well as fun, we'd like to solicit ideas on issues that you'd like to explore, and potential guests. Please let us know your thoughts as we head into the new year and round the corner towards our one year anniversary next February. Remember: serious politics, fun people.

You've come to our debate watch parties...you've been slammed with ads, read all the op ed pieces, and you've probably already voted....this is the final game of the US Open!!!!

At 7pm we will convene at Brophy's Irish Pub. The Brophys have been early and sustained supporters of Living Liberally, and we'd like to start our evening there, watching the early returns come in.

Around 10pm or so, we'll mosey over to Gator's Dockside to join members of the DEC and perhaps Obama campaign to watch the final returns and possibly an acceptance speech.

Please join us for the historic election night...and don't forget to come for our next scheduled meeting on the third Wednesday evening at Brophy's. Slainte!
