Hello everyone,

No doubt everyone is relieved and very happy about the election results! A celebration is certainly in order. Lucky for us, the calendar makes today the first Friday of the month, which is our next DL meeting!

Come out to Little Kings tonight, starting at 6:30 to relax and celebrate the presidential election victory of America's "most liberal senator".

Another reason to come: Tom will have at least some T-shirts with him for all of you who wanted to buy one but didn't want to come out in the rain three weeks ago (there are plenty left, although only one in the Small size, and it may already be spoken for).

You can get one for free or more if you want to donate to them.
2)President elect Barack Obama's transition team has set up a website: http://change.gov/ , where among other things, you are invited to share your ideas for the new administration and for positive change.

Hello again,

Well, the t-shirts are here! And they will be at the meeting tonight, so I have been asked by co-host Tom, the man who did the leg (and dirty) work to make sure the shirts would be done, to send out another reminder of tonight's meeting. We hope to see you tonight at Little Kings, starting around 6:30. Don't let the rain stop you, even though it may force us inside. I'm told that there is something called a 'Homecoming Parade' around this time which may complicate parking, just so ya know, but that should not hold you back either.

Okay guys, We're getting ready to make our first-ever Drinking Liberally Athens shirts. The design is available for your viewing as a pdf file. The DL chapter e-mail system does not allow me to attach it here - sorry, but if you want to see it, e-mail me at thomasbavis@gmail.com and I will send it to you.

We're planning to have the shirts available at the next meeting on October 17.

Hello again,

A few have mentioned that some bars and other venues will be showing the debate, including The Globe, our own Little Kings and Ciné (across the street from LK). I am sure there will be others.

Since tonight is a school/work night, I am guessing some of us might end up watching at home, especially given the 9 p.m. start time, but those of you that do go out will no doubt be in good company.

Take note, as pointed out by co-host Holly Moore: "FYI, Free pints of Terrapin tonight at Little Kings during the debate (while supplies last)." With an offer like that supplies may go fast so I would suggest getting there early if you intend to drink any of those delicious free pints.
