Hey everyone,
This is just a quick note to have you mark your calendars for Monday, January 19th.

That's right. January 19th. Bush's last day in office.

That night, the Accountants of Homeland Security, Chicago's Laughing Liberally Local 312, will be hosting a huge inauguration show/ party at the Quennect 4 Gallery, 2716 W North Ave, 8pm, $5.

The lineup for the show is awesome. Comics, music, variety, plus there will be a life-sized Bush pinata!

Unfortunately, I haven't received any volunteers to be the substitute host for tonight. So we're gonna have a bit of a holiday break (I know I'm a bit burnt out) and come back strong in the new year.

We'll have a big inauguration party in January and also we will also be throwing a book release party for The Nation (they're releasing a progressive guide book for the U.S.). That one should really be great, there will be more details as we get closer.

Just a reminder, since neither Matt nor I will be available tomorrow we need someone to substitute host the DL meeting tomorrow. It's really not a big deal, it's just so people have the name of someone who will be there early, get the table, etc.

Quick update,

Neither Matt or I will be in town tomorrow for the scheduled DL meeting. Anyone up for being the host? It doesn't involve much, mostly just making sure you're there early enough and securing a table in the back room.

After the election season craziness, it's finally time to get back to our regular schedule. It's still every 2nd and 4th Tuesday at Sheffield's. We'll be meeting in the back room (I think it's called the beer school now). For anyone who's only been to one of our big events, these are usually a bit more relaxed, just sitting around having a few beers and talking about politics.

I should be there by 7 or so.

Also, there are only two Laughing Liberally shows before they go on a short December Hiatus. Details are below

Chicago Ale House (2200 W Leland). The whole bar should be turned to election results.
Start time: 6pm
Some Election Bingo/drinking games.
A ton of like minded people to watch the historic election with.

If anyone has any suggestions or would like to bring something for the night, let me know what you want.
