They're All Better Than Dick Cheney

Obama-Biden? The Long-Talk Express
would run the "Straight Talk" off the road
...if McCain doesn't do it on his own first.

Obama-Sebelius? Popular in the heartland,
suddenly, nothing's the matter with Kansas anymore.

Obama-Bayh? Dems would get to ask McCain
"Hoosier Daddy now?" as Indiana goes blue.

Obama-Kaine? Virginia is for lovers,
& would not be for grumpy old conservatives.

Obama-Dodd? His silver hair's
more Presidential than McCain's.

Obama-Clinton? Watch right-wing heads explode.
Obama-Clark? McCain would get shot down again.
Obama-Gore? The world would let us rule them all.

And for those of you worried about Obama's pick:
anyone of them is better than Dick Cheney.

Celebrate the pick or keep speculating
as we drink, discuss, debate & dream
at your local progressive social club.

Two nights of Political Dance
Friday, Aug 22 - 8:30 - Alexandra Beller's "Us"
Saturday, Aug 23 - 8pm - Works by 4 choreographers

In honor of the Democratic and Republican National Conventions, The Tank presents two nights of political dance to kick off a week of convention watch-parties and politically themed programming.

Friday: Alexandra Beller's 'us'begins with the premise that patriotism can be an addiction that blinds us to the truth. Like any drug, nationalism can alter the chemistry of the mind, obliterating compassion, consciousness, and curiosity. In a series of duets with anthropomorphized objects (including a mop and an inflatable sex doll) Beller blurs the lines of dance and theater using text, song, virtuosic dance, and original sound design.

Saturday: In a collection of politically-themed works, four choreographers will address issues ranging from patriotism, propaganda, the political climate, and the upcoming election.
