Let's not forget the less fortunate: BRING NONPERISHABLE FOOD to be donated to the Food Bank. Cheers! 5/22 Nancy LaPlaca for AZ Corporation Commision (Exploratory Committee)Submitted by Shasta McManus on Fri, 05/17/2013 - 8:42pm.Hello liberals, Come over to The Shanty to meet Nancy LaPlaca who is thinking about running for a seat on the AZ Corporation Commission. Given the enthusiasm her announcement was received with, I'm pretty sure she will run. We'll start gathering at 6 PM, as usual. Nancy will speak at 7 PM. Let's not forget the less fortunate: bring non perishable food to be donated to the Food Bank. Cheers! 5/15 ClassicSubmitted by Shasta McManus on Mon, 05/13/2013 - 4:35pm.Hello liberals, Come over to The Shanty at 6 PM (or later) for lively conversation with old and new friends. Share ideas while sharing a pitcher, build democracy one pint at a time! Cheers! 5/8 Teacher Appreciation WeekSubmitted by Shasta McManus on Tue, 05/07/2013 - 12:21am.Hello liberals, I apologize for the late notice. I tried to get someone to speak about the Pima Community College situation. As you probably read or heard, there is a community effort to recall four members of the Board. Since there is a rally/march starting at 5:30, followed by the Board meeting, nobody is available. Cheers! 5/1 - Barbara Warren on climate changeSubmitted by Shasta McManus on Mon, 04/29/2013 - 2:08pm.Hello liberals, We are back to our regular schedule: On Wednesday May 1st our guest speaker will be Barbara Warren.
