We have a special occasion this Thursday. Our Favorite bartender, at Memphis at the Santora, Johnny Sampson, is retiring from the field of Beverage Service at Memphis. Johnny has been with us since the beginning of Drinking Liberally Orange County/Santa Ana.

Our first Drinking Liberally event was held on Thursday, August 17, 2006. Johnny was there to welcome us to Memphis. Please join all of Johnny's friends, not just the DL crowd tonight, to celebrate Johnny's last night as our bartender.

Because this is expected to be a full house, just ask Johnny or one of the Memphis service staff members where the Liberals are. They should know.

Phil Bacerra will be coordinating the group as I will be out of town. Gathering starts at 8:30 pm.

No, I'm not talking about your last New Year's Eve or birthday party. I mean, when was the last time you joined us for a light-hearted political conversation with fellow liberals over your favorite beverage?

If you have to think about your answer more than a second, then it's too long. No worries, there's an easy remedy. We'll be Drinking Liberally tonight at Memphis at the Santora in downtown Santa Ana at 8:30 p.m. Memphis is located at 201 N. Broadway in the Artist's Village.

Friday December 21st is the supposed end of the world. If that is the case, then Thursday Evening will be the last opportunity for us to Drink Liberally.

So Join us at 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, December 20th at Memphis at the Santora in Santa Ana. We can toast in the End of the World with Liberal flair.

Since it is also our last gathering before Christmas, if the world doesn't end, we will retroactively call it our Christmas Party.

Tonight is the last Drinking Liberally event before Thanksgiving. We only drink Liberally at home with our families on Thanksgiving evening. So join us tonight at Drinking Liberally-Santa Ana.
