Studs Terkel will join us at Drinking Spiritually- May 16, 6:30 PM

Studs' spirit may show up. He was born 100 years ago. If you don't know who he was, ask someone who is older than 50.

“How come you don't work fourteen hours a day? Your great-great-grandparents did. How come you only work the eight-hour day? Four guys got hanged fighting for the eight-hour day for you.”

And don't forget his most famous quote: "Support local farmers by stopping at the Boulder Market before enjoying a pint with your new and old friends."

When: Wednesday May 16, @ 6:30pm
Where: BJ's Brewhouse and Tavern; 1125 Pearl St.; Look for the Drinking Liberally sign or ask the host/hostess

(NOT- Ken Gordon at) Drinking Liberally May 2, 6:30 PM

Hi folks,

Regretfully we did not get RSVPs from the minimum number (12) of likely attenders, so Ken will not be here this week. We will try again in a couple of months.

But the show goes on!

Anyone want to tell us what the Occupy movement is doing, especially in Boulder or the front range?

Does CU need to hire a Liberal professor to balance the conservative one they are planning to hire?

What else is troubling your sleep (ahem- stick to politics)?

This is opening Wednesday at the Boulder Farmer's Market. Shop and then stop by at:

BJ's Brewhouse and Tavern; 1125 Pearl St. you can get 1 hr of free parking in the Spruce lot, behind (N) of the restaurant. Expanded Happy hour runs until 7PM.

Drinking Progressively- Wednesday 4/4- 6:30 PM

Hello friends,

Anyone (besides Jon) have an opinion on:
What should Dems in office do if SCOTUS rules all or part of the Affordable Care Act unconstitutional? Which R will drop out next, and when? Is Paul Ryan angling for the VP slot?

Survey results were a bit disappointing, and there was clearly no consensus to change anything, but thanks to those who did reply.
