Socialize, network, rant, and converse about the political scene: Blackwater, Burris/Blagojevich, bailouts, Blair House, or whatever else you feel like talking about. We're putting together a list of affordable inaugural events and should have that on the site soon. Check the blog for occasional political blathering and posts about other events: http://dcdl.org. Also, we have a Facebook group, for those who are into that sort of thing: Spread the word about Drinking Liberally! If you enjoy our events, tell your friends and get them to subscribe to our announcement list: --Keith and Kim Tonight: Timberlake's. More details soon, but we wanted you to reserve the date now. We have some other exciting events that are in the works. We're pretty confident that 2009 will be a ground-breaking year for DCDL. Our friends in several local progressive groups, including DC for Democracy, are organizing celebrations for the weekend before the inauguration. We should come up with some sort of contest to give it away. Perhaps some of the creative DL'ers out there have some ideas? Any gamers out there? I'm looking for fellow progressive gamers to improve my meager skills at Unreal Tournament, Kung Fu Panda, Fallout 3, and other favorite games. Plus, if any of you have an XBox 360, there's a new party feature that I'd like to try out. Virtual Worlds have potential in progressive organizing, so let me know if you'd like to try it out.
