Hello all you Athens area DL-ers!

(The DL headquarters website 'send a chapter email' tool seems to be acting up, so if some of you end up getting this message more than once, I ask for your forgiveness now, in advance...)

Tonight is the 3rd Friday of the month, so it's a regularly scheduled Drinking Liberally-Athens meeting, starting at 6:30 p.m., at Little Kings, and lasting as long as at least two of us can still stand it.

I know the schedule has been quite irregular as of late, and it's bound to stay that way for the near future, at least it will through the 4th of July celebrations, but hopefully we can return to a more stable meeting schedule before the end of the summer.

In fact, a few of us have already mentioned that right about now seems like a good time to discuss the schedule as well as anything else that ANY and ALL interested Athens Drinking Liberally members and potential members would like to discuss regarding the group. (i.e. if the schedule is good as-is or if there ought to be a change, if there is anything else you want to get out of DL that you might not be at the moment, suggestions for guest speakers, suggestions for group activities besides the meetings, etc.)

So, please do come out tonight if you are able. We'd love to see some of you who were there back during the lead up to last November's presidential election but who haven't been around so much lately. We would love to see as many people make it as possible. If you can't make it but do have ideas regarding the aforementioned discussion, feel free to send them to us via email: athens@drinkingliberally.org .

Hi all,

That's right. To paraphrase Spinal Tap, "Tonight we're gonna rock it tonight." DL bumped back the first get-together of the month to this Friday. Perhaps if the weather is kind to us we can have it out on Little Kings' fine deck. So come on out, let's talk some politics, and see how my fledgling beard is coming along.

Good morning, all -

Sorry for the late notice, again, but tonight's meeting is not going to happen. Or, should I say, the hosts won't be there. We will, however, be at Little Kings NEXT week Friday, which is highly irregular, I know! But you know, life happens.

Feel free to meet without us, talk amongst yourselves, drink and be merry! We'll be back next week to catch up on all things liberal.

Hey everybody,

Since there was relatively little response to the last message, we've decided to go ahead and cancel the meeting tomorrow, so there is no DL tomorrow (Friday May 15). Sorry if you feel let down, but as out-of-town DL Athens co-host reminded us earlier today, "Absence makes the heart grow fonder."

This means the next DL Athens meeting will be Friday June 5th.
