We have been talking about meeting at Steinbeck's, but I didn't have time to finalize that for this week, so we'll be meeting at Thinking Man Tavern in Decatur.

We are a casual group and there is no planned topic. We just get together and talk about what moves us and we eat and drink.

Smoking is permitted outside and children are allowed until 9pm.

Dear Everybody,

Drinking Liberally Atlanta meets the 1st and 3rd Thursday of every month. Our next meeting will be next Thursday, May 17th.

At our meeting last week, we discussed rotating locations for our group. This will help us get people from different areas around the city, support more venues, try different styles.

The place that was suggested at last week's meeting, where we had about 10 people, was Steinbeck's. They are at 659 E. Lake Dr., Decatur, GA 30030.

During the week of April 9 - 15 (most on Saturday, April 14), there will be 6 + activist trainings in the metro area as part of the 99% Spring. This training is for all of those people who are tired of arguing with their TV and don't think signing more petitions is enough to change the world.

More than 46 organizations have come together to sponsor these trainings (including Sierra Club, UAW, Jobs with Justice, AFL-CIO, Greenpeace and many others) with a goal of training 100,000 activists in one week nationwide to plan non-violent direct actions that will help move our collective agenda forward.
