Drink liberally this year!

Hi liberal drinkers,

Join us tonight for the first drinking liberally night of 2009!

CAMBRIDGE DRINKING LIBERALLY
Every Wednesday, 7 - 8:30
People's Republik, 876 Massachusetts Ave., Cambridge MA

There's certainly a lot to talk about - Congress is now in session, the war in Gaza rages on, and there are still two Senate seats unfilled. On top of that, Blue Mass Group recently published a fascinating mid-term interview with Gov. Deval Patrick, and the details of the new economic stimulus package are starting to emerge.

What's on your mind for 2009? Discuss tonight at DL!

Last drinking liberally of the year, tonight!

Hi liberal drinkers,

You can call the year 2008 a lot of things, but boring isn't one of them. Join us tonight to help ring out the old year and chat about the new one:

With the shocking arrest of Gov. Blagojevich yesterday, political corruption and the makeup of next year's Senate is on many people's mind. What's on yours? Drop by tonight to discuss!

Tonight, we'll discuss the upcoming Obama administration: What are your thoughts about Obama's Cabinet choices? How will he handle the growing economic crisis and global warming? Have you had a chance to chime in on the new administration's website, http://change.gov? Drop by tonight to chat about these issues - or anything else on your mind.

Drink liberally tonight! All eyes on the Senate

Hi liberal drinkers,

This week, we'll be talking about the Senate. In a closely watched vote yesterday, the Democratic caucus voted to allow Joe Lieberman to keep the chairmanship of Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee. There are also three Senate races still not called - Georgia, where there will be a December 2 runoff between Democrat Jim Martin and Republican Saxby Chambliss, and Minnesota and Alaska, where the vote counting is still not done and the results are very close. How will all of these developments affect the next Senate, and our ability to change course on the economy, Iraq, global warming and health care? Join us tonight to discuss these topics, or anything else that's on your mind.

As a reminder, we will NOT be meeting next Wednesday. Have a great Thanksgiving!

Shai
