Dear Drinking Liberally Baltimore,
My first and best friends in Baltimore came from Drinking Liberally. Like many of us, I sought out DL as a way to meet like-minded people in my adopted City. I could not have asked for a better community to be a part of or to lead. Over the years, you all have warmed my heart, exercised my brain, and challenged my liver.
I am stepping back from Drinking Liberally in order to focus on other things, but I am leaving you in able hands: Mike Kaurich will be joining Ian Logsdon to host Drinking Liberally. They are uber liberals, super organizers, and generally pretty cool cats.
I hope you'll come out tonight, toast our newest host, and stock up on all the progressive conversation you need to get you through the new year (we won't be meeting on the 4th Wednesday this month for some strange reason). We'll be at Dougherty's on Chase Street starting at 8pm tonight!
Stay Liberal My Friends,

Hey Drinking Liberally Members,
Well we're a week out from the 2013 elections and the pundits of the world are still trying to figure out what they mean. Is Chris Christie really the one to beat for the 2016 nomination (somehow elections start 3 years out now)? Is Elizabeth Warren a sleeper dark horse for the Democrats? Are Democrats actually going to make raising the minimum wage a wedge issue next year?
Come on out to Doughterty's (223 W Chase St, Baltimore, MD 21201) tonight (11/13) and grab a pitcher and a bite to eat, We'll be there starting at 8!
See you there!

Your regularly scheduled Drinking Liberally email is coming soon, but for now I wanted to let you all know about an anti-fracking event happening in Baltimore tomorrow night.
I don't know about you, but I like it when my tap water isn't flammable. I hope you'll go!
Join us in Baltimore as part of a nine-stop tour across Maryland to say, "Clean Energy, Not Cove Point!"
WHEN: Tuesday, November 12th, 7:30-9:00pm. Doors open at 7pm.
WHERE: Falvey Hall in the Brown Center, MICA 1301 Mount Royal Ave Baltimore, MD 21217
We're crisscrossing Maryland this fall -- from the mountains to the sea -- to sound the alarm on a major new environmental threat.
Dominion Resources is proposing a massive industrial plan to export liquefied natural gas (LNG) out of Cove Point, on the shores of the Chesapeake Bay in southern Maryland. The plan would expand fracking for gas across our region. And it's one of the worst things our state could do for global warming.
At the Crossroads tour you’ll learn what you can do to stop this pollution disaster – and to demand the things we DO want: solar and wind power. There will be speakers, live music, a mind-blowing multi-media presentation and a call to action that will get you out of your chair!
RSVP below to join the Maryland Crossroads 2013 tour stop in Baltimore on November 12th.
