DL tonight 6:30!

My dear Liberals,

You can tell the political season is heating up when there's lots of political gossip going around.

If you happen to have some----come sit by me.

Or if you're in the mood to get up on your soapbox in a place where you'll get more cheers than jeers, this is the place.

We've got a lot to talk about, from Obama's evolution to the 180-plus candidates dropped from the South Carolina ballot.

I hope to see you there. McHales. 6:30

DL this Wednesday

Howdy all,

Beer Public Service Announcement:

Did you know that cenosillicaphobia is fear of an empty glass? (At least according to the interweb, which is never wrong.)

If you're experiencing mild cenosillicaphobia, you can join us at Drinking Liberally this Wednesday at McHale's on Main starting at 6:30.

See you soon,

Matt

DL tonight 6:30!

Hey folks,

This is just your friendly reminder that we'll be drinking Liberally tonight at 6:30. McHales. Upstairs. You know the drill.

So come on out. We're friendly people.

Leland Graham may have some entertainment for us that involves markers.

Also----if you missed our "exciting announcement" at the bar about a month ago, it was that we as a group have been invited to participate in the Rock Hill community garden. We have a 4x20 foot bed, where we'll be growing peppers, black eye peas, peanuts, and maybe one tomato.

The other beds belong to groups like the girl scouts or master gardeners, so this is a great opportunity to live up to the liberal values of community-mindedness and healthy living.

If that doesn't appeal to you, maybe gluttony for tasty edibles does.

Matt and I will be in the garden Friday morning at 9 to double dig our bed. We could use some help!

Community planting day is Saturday morning.

See you soon!

DL this Wednesday @ 6:30

Howdy all,

Drinking Liberally meets this Wednesday upstairs at McHale's on Main.

To put our meeting in context, I thought I'd share some important landmarks in the history of humanity as told by beer:

-- 4300 BC (approximately) - Babylonian clay tablets record beer recipes

-- 1757 AD - Washington writes "To make small beer," his own little recipe for beer.

-- May 2, 2012 - Liberals in Rock Hill, SC, write a recipe for a better tomorrow. (Well, at least we'll enjoy a tasty beverage or two.)

See you Wednesday,

Matt

Dearest DL-ers,

You know how a sunny spring day makes you feel industrious and virtuous?

Well, today is not one of those days. It's rainy and dark and chilly outside, which is exactly the kind of weather that drove the Irish to invent the Cozy Irish Pub.

So come on down to McHales to huddle up and drink up with your like-minded friends.

You know in your heart you're done being responsible today.

See you soon,

Amy
