DL Spartanburg gathers September 7th at the NU-Way, 6:00PM. On Sept. 7th was born Thomas A. Hendricks, the 21st VP of the U.S., Grandma Moses, Buddy Holly, LeRoi Moore, and Cass Chulick!!! Join us as we wish Cass a great birthday. And we're sure she won't mind if we raise a few in support of Australia's National Threatened Species Day, also happening on the 7th.

Dl Spartanburg gathers again 8/31 at 6:00 PM, Nu-Way. Our president is scheduled to give a talk about the withdrawal from Iraq Tuesday at 8:00 PM. We can probably handle that.

Proposed Amendment XXVIII to the Constitution of the United States of America: "Everybody just get a grip! Read our Constitution and pay particular attention to Amendments I, X and XIV".

It seems that citizens in several cities in The Great State of Tennessee are more than a bit concerned about a certain religious group wanting to expand their houses of worship. And we have other states thinking about passing an Arizona-like immigration law. Also of course we can't forget that we have a walled border with a country to our south. And we're pretty sure that there's no mention in our Constitution about the definition of marriage.

Got a copy of The Constitution? Bring it to DL, we'll have a group read. It could lead to some interesting discussion.

The bar was set, literally at Michael's Saturday night, and "The Hawaiian" earned a score of 7.3128571. The categories of Appearance and Get You There were the ones that got the lowest scores. No paper umbrella and served in a RED plastic cup!! But Michael's hospitality scored a big TEN. Anybody else out there with a submission for the "Second Annual Obama's on the Job Celebratory Drink" contest?
