Drinking liberally meeting

Hey all you liberal drinkers!

Happy Mexican Independence Day!
Happy U.S. Constitution Day (tomorrow)!
Happy Chilean Independence Day! (Thursday)
Happy autumnal equinox (next Monday)!

Once again Drinking Liberally has rolled around. Sorry for the short notice. We will meet on Thursday night at the Progressive Center at 413 Waco Street in CC. We are excited to have all of you join us. As usual, bring a drink to share and a thirst for good liberal conversation. There is lots to talk about in the political and financial worlds (come in off the ledge, the pidgeons don't respect us there anyway), and I'm sure we can have some lively preaching to the choir.

If any of you are interested in the forum on gun control tomorrow (Wednesday) at Del Mar, I'm sure I'll see you there as well (1:00 at the Library on the East Campus)

July meeting of Living Liberally

Hey folks,

These are the dog days of summer—Bastille Day is finished and we are tucking our pitchforks and torches back into the closet. But wait—go back into that closet (feel free to assume whatever innuendo you wish here)—sharpen up those torches, light those pitch forks (or vice versa). This Thursday is another installment of Drinking Liberally! We will meet this month at the Progressive Center at 413 Waco Street to imbibe refreshments and good liberal conviviality. Bring a drink, bring a friend, bring several friends. Festivities will commence @7 p.m. But, remember, torch and fork responsibly. Don’t mix pitch forks—let alone torches—with alcohol. Hope to see you there.

Drinking Liberally change of venue

Greetings fellow liberal drinkers! (Gee, I guess it is easy to misconstrue that)

Join us for a movie mixer at the Progressive Center on Waco Street on Thursday night. We have several films from which to choose. Teresa wanted to watch Dumb and Dumber, but I thought that we should not make this about the current administration. As the 19th is Juneteenth, we think we may go in that direction with the film (It's not a history thing, honest.)

BYOB. We will bring munchies. Be there or be square. (It's just an expression--squares are welcome.)

PS: Check out the snazzy new website at livingliberally.org. It's the bomb (if that doesn't draw Homeland Security, nothing will.)

PPS: This one is for Carolyn: Agenda items for this meeting--NONE.
