I regret to announce that Susan and I will not attend the Drinking Liberally meeting tonight. One of my three kidney stones has decided to exit, and I will undergo a procedure this afternoon to help it along.

This is exciting. More than 50 people have responded to the 99% Spring Training at the Blacksburg Community Center Thursday night. Not in my wildest dreams did I anticipate such an overwhelming response. This is exciting.

On the evening of Thursday, April 12, Susan and I are hosting an important event in place of our regular Drinking Liberally meeting. The 99% Spring Training, organized by MoveOn.org, will provide us with the tools necessary to participate in a nationwide movement to turn the tide on the corporate-sponsored conservative agenda that is threatening our future, and that of our children and grandchildren.

Please join us at the Blacksburg Community Center from 6:30pm to 9:30pm. Refreshments will be served. We need your participation to reach the nationwide goal of 100,000 activists to participate in the 99% Spring movement in the coming months.
