Hey everybody, we're planning to meet as usual this Thursday night (October 6) at 7pm at the Cafe Carpe. The Carpe will be hosting a band in the music room that night but we'll be in the dining room or maybe even out on the back porch if the weather is nice. I look forward to seeing you there!

On Thursday, Nov. 3, our humble group will host a special guest: Mike McCabe, executive director of the Wisconsin Democracy Campaign, will be joining us at 7pm. The WDC is a nonpartisan watchdog group working for clean, open and honest government; visit their website at http://wisdc.org/ for more info.

Mike will give a half-hour talk starting promptly at 7. His talk will be followed by an informal Q&A and, if there's interest, a smaller in-depth discussion with people who have very specific questions about what Mike's organization does and how they can help.

I hope you can join us to learn more about Mike's important work.
