After further consideration, we've decided to move June's meeting back one week due to the timing of the recall election.

Instead of meeting on Monday, June 4th, as planned, we will now meet on Monday, June 11th (6:30-9pm).

We will not have a speaker on June 11th.

Hello all,

We’re looking forward to our next meeting on May 7th, the eve of the primaries!

Representative Brett Hulsey will be joining us. Rep. Hulsey has been following Waukesha politics and was an early supporter of Lisa’s liberal blog, Waukesha Wonk. Lisa told him about Drinking Liberally Waukesha back in January, and he was intrigued and accepted her invitation to come talk about the state of Wisconsin politics.

Rep. Hulsey currently serves the 77th District (Madison, Middleton, and Shorewood Hills) and is a member of the Energy and Utilities, Natural Resources, and Tourism and State Facilities Committees.

Before his election to the Assembly in 2010, Rep Hulsey was Dane County Board Supervisor for 13 years, and served on the Public Protection and Judiciary and Lakes and Watersheds Commission. He is also the former chair of the Personnel and Finance, Strategic Growth Committees, vice-chair of the Transportation Committees, and member of the Transportation Planning Board and the Chronic Wasting Disease Taskforce.

Rep. Hulsey served for 17 years as an educator and advocate for the Sierra Club, was an Energy Conservation Advocate, VISTA Volunteer for the State Division of Energy, and acted as an Environmental Policy Advisor for the Clinton and Gore Campaign. On May 7th we’ll have a microphone set up so that we’ll be able to hear Rep. Hulsey speak in both rooms of the venue. Hello all,

Hope you can join us this Monday, April 2nd, at Club 400, 322 Williams St., Waukesha, in the Clubhouse (upstairs). Gubernatorial candidate Kathleen Vinehout will be stopping by!

If you'd like to get there early to grab a bite to eat, the cook & bartender will be upstairs at 5:30pm. There will also be food available for the duration of the evening as well. I've heard they serve great wings and burgers.

Just a reminder that there is parking in the lots on either side of the bar as well as street parking. I've been warned that those who park in La Estacion's lot across the street risk towing.
