Eating Liberally co-founder Kerry Trueman has entered the Huffington Post contest for Hopenhagen Ambassador. If she wins they'll send her to the UN Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen as a citizen journalist with press credentials to report back daily on behalf of grassroots/netroots activists. It would be a great opportunity to raise awareness of the food/climate change link.

Eating Liberally invites you to take “Time for Lunch” with us this Labor Day, September 7th, 1 pm at The Campos Community Garden in Manhattan (640-644 East 12th Street between Aves B & C).

We’re hosting a potluck picnic as part of Slow Food USA’s nationwide Eat-In campaign to send a message to Congress that it's time to feed America's children real food at school!

Bring an old blanket, a home-cooked dish (with servings spoon) along with your friends and family to share it with. Some of our favorite local folks will be pitching in on the food front, too, including The Grange Food Company, Jimmy's No. 43, and Tweefontein Herb Farm.
(We will also provide plates, cups, and utensils)

Special guests will include author/activist Anna Lappé, whole grains goddess/pressure cooker expert Lorna Sass, and other real food revolutionaries.
