NYU's Steinhardt School Dept of Public Health, Nutrution & Food Studies Room 1080
35 West 4 New York, NY 10012 Save The Date to Celebrate Jonathan Bloom's American Wasteland--a thoughtful and (ultimately) uplifting new book that calls on us to stop tossing and start cherishing our food! Eating Liberally and Kitchen Table Talks are pleased to co-host a book party for Jonathan Bloom at NYU's Steinhardt School Dept of Public Health, Nutrution & Food Studies on Sunday, Dec. 12th at 4 pm to celebrate the publication of American Wasteland: How America Throws Away Nearly Half of Its Food (and What We Can Do About It). We love this book so much we persuaded Jonathan to come all the way from North Carolina to read from it, answer your questions, and talk trash with journalist Elizabeth Royte, author of Garbage Land and Bottlemania, and Elizabeth Meltz, Mario Batali's Director of Food Safety and Sustainability. Copies of American Wasteland will be available for purchase and signing thanks to the fine folks from Bluestocking Books. When: Sunday, December 12th from 4pm to 6pm Where: Steinhardt School Dept of Public Health, Nutrution & Food Studies, Room 1080 at 35 West 4th Street, between University Place & Greene St. Why: Because food is a terrible thing to waste! How Much: the event is free; sustainable snacks provided (donations welcome to defray our food costs, as always.) Please RSVP to: info@eatingliberally.org » See chapter page» See more events for |
