Election Night Drinking Liberally
Gentle Ben's
865 E University Blvd, 6pm

To celebrate an Obama victory and (fingers crossed) a blue Arizona, we are gathering at Gentle Ben's, upstairs, 6 pm. Gentle Ben's is on University between Euclid and Park. We will be playing an election game: Guess the margin of victory. Using Gallup's likely voter predictions for every state (as of Monday 11/3), guess how close or far away Obama will be for every state. Ties will be broken with a guess on total electoral votes. Prize is yet to be determined. Hope to see you there!!

Drinking Liberally Pasadena - Election Party
Madeleine's Wine Bar, 1030 E. Green St

For this special evening, I have procured from Drinking Liberally headquarters, as well as from some other sources, a variety of door prizes to celebrate what will hopefully be an overall Democratic victory and the beginning of a new direction for our belabored country. We'll do drawings throughout the evening.

We'll have the banquet room from 6pm until they kick us out. If you are unfamiliar with its location, when you enter the building, take a left into the restaurant and then a right at the end of the hall.

Bring a friend. I'm bringing a few myself. I look forward to seeing you Tuesday. I believe that this will be a night of positive change. If not, someone's got some explaining to do. ;^)

Once this election is over, regardless of the outcome, we will still care passionately about things in our world, our country, our state and our community. This local site is where we can talk about it all. And like true liberals, we will argue. But that's how we get to the points where we agree.

Intermezzo Pizzeria and Cafe, 1427 East 10th Street, at Louise, where 10th and Kings turn into Central

You've waited years for this. Finally, Election Night is upon us--and it's likely that great things are in store. As the sun sets and the polls close Tuesday evening, you'll have done your part, so come join us. We'll meet at Intermezzo Pizzeria and Cafe, on lower Central Avenue, less than a mile from Uptown. They're going all out for us. In addition to the usual excellent food and crystal-clear flat-screen TV action, they're introducing a newly enclosed, toasty-warm patio area, and, perhaps best of all, Intermezzo will offer a number of beer and wine specials--just because we're Drinking Liberally!

We take the election seriously, and, as we watch the results finally trickle in, we intend to have some serious fun. Be both tuned in and turned on! Come join us!

* Beer and wine specials!
* TV pundits and talking heads from Maddow to Blitzer, Olbermann to Toobin, Matthews to Brokaw, and all the rest!
* Our own Electoral College charts, graphs, and assorted props!
* Local and statewide stuff in real time!
* Stewart and Colbert at 10 o'clock!
* Star-spangled cupcakes!
* Great conversation and camaraderie!
* Smart insights on must-win states, the likelihood of a filibuster-proof Senate, and other political wonkiness!
* Tate with a laptop!
* Acceptance speeches broadcast live!
* Noisy revelry!

Whether you regularly enjoy Drinking Liberally or this is your first visit, we can't wait to see you for this historic event! This promises to be a night to remember!

We'll have a buffet set up, and usually we charge $5 or $6 for it. We'll probably make silly signs and we'll certainly be watching the election results. What better way to celebrate (or, heaven forbid, commiserate) than with a group of fellow liberals. This election party is going to kick all other election parties' butts, so you should be there.
